Have you wanted to make a difference for our shores? Curious about these wacky people who work on our seagrass meadows?
And find out more about what actually happens during a monitoring session?
Well, the best time to do this is at the annual TeamSeagrass Orientation session. It happens only once a year!
This is the programme for the 2010 TeamSeagrass Orientation
27 Mar (Sat): Part 1: Indoor Training Session 9am-1.30pm
Includes briefings on seagrasses, seagrass ID, monitoring methods, shore safety. With fun hands-on activities in seagrass ID, filling out datasheets, how to use a GPS and more! Venue likely to be at Singapore Botanic Gardens, to be confirmed closer to the date.
28 Mar (Sun): Part 2: Outdoor Training Session at Chek Jawa 1.30-8pm
Join regulars to conduct an actual monitoring and put into practice what we have learnt at the Indoor Training Session.
